The layz spa Monaco will help you and up to 6-8 people relax, all at the same time – kinda neat huh?
We decided to get our hands on one after we bought a smaller inflatable hot tub and absolutely loved our experience. However the only downside of bestway hot tubs is they can be kinda small. So we where over the moon when layz spa Monaco was released.
This guy perfectly demonstrates what you get and what the Monaco hot tub looks like in under 3 minutes:
If you’re too lay-z to watch the video here’s an overview of what you get:
- 2.1m Hot Tub
- Set Up Dvd
- Rapid Heating System
- Filtration System
- Massage System
- Chemical Floater
- Air Pump
- Inflatable Lid
- 86 Air Jets
Pretty neat huh?
This Monaco lay z spa is easily the most closest blow up hot tub to the real deal. comparing it to the likes of the Vegas which seats up to 6 people (more like 4), the Monaco is also slightly taller as well as being wider. Basically giving you a very large tub without sacrificing quality.
It’s ideal for those who want to mirror a realistic hot tub, as closely as possible. Feel the relaxing bubbles of a Jacuzzi like spa and even to invite friends over to join in the fun with you.
The problem with the earlier hot tub’s is they aren’t that big, you’re likely sitting cross legged in the hot tub. Whilst fun at first, can start to ache your joints as you can imagine.
However with the lay z spa Monaco, you can stretch much further (it is 2.2m wide) and get the space you need.
The LCD control panel show’s you the sheer quality that goes into creating one of these tubs. When you feel like it, adjust the temperature to make it warmer, or activate the impressive bubbles – engage massaging.
The Monaco layz spa, is incredibly easy to setup and maintain. The big LCD control panel above, fills the inside of the tub with air. Within minutes, your Monaco hot tub is almost at full size.
You then have to take out your mini hand pump (they supply you with this) and fill the rest of the tub up with air, so you can have a rigid structure to hold all of your water in.
This tub is unique, in the way that the material is built differently compared to the Vegas or Pairs tub. Bestway use sturdy drop stitch materials to give extra durability and strength to your tub. Which gives you a fixed hot tub that you should be paying thousand of pounds to enjoy the experience.
The stitching looks something like this:
You will then fill up your tub, we live in a low water pressure area, so this can take up to 2 hours to fill at full capacity. So we always suggest to plan ahead. For example, if you want to be using your hot tub in the evening (lets say 9pm), then start setting up your hot tub at 9am.
The second reason this is, because it’ll take up to 10 hours to heat your hot tub to your desired temperature.
What’s really neat about the heater is you can program it to come on when you need it to. So for example, you could set an alarm for it to turn itself on at 11am Friday morning, this way your hot tub is ready for your arrival when you get home.
This is the closest you’ll get to the feeling of being in a real hot tub. Out of all of the inflatable hot tub’s, this is the “least inflatable”, the biggest too.
It also comes with a cost though, costing an extra £200 than the next hot tub (that’s an additional £100 extra per person). So you’ve got to ask yourself, do i really need a “HUGE” Hot tub, or can I make way with a smaller variant?
In terms of performance, this hot tub delivers, just as well as the Vegas and the Paris. The jets, filter, LCD display and massage system are all the same. So you’re not getting an improvement by spending more money.
What you are paying for (if we haven’t made this clear to you already) is the cost of a larger (more rigid) hot tub, that can safely accommodate more people. So if you’d like that option, then we believe the Monaco hot tub is for you.
When comparing it to the Vegas hot tub, it costs close to £200 more for the same features.
And when you compare it to the Paris hot tub (our favourite) is costs close to £100 more. However with the Paris hot tub, you do get the added features of having LED’s in your tub, which makes it look rather pretty.
Whatever your choice of hot tub. consider the ongoing cost and maintenance to run a hot tub. The electricity bill will be roughly £10 per week (that’s if you choose to keep your tub on at all times).
It’s also advised to rinse your filter bi-weekly and replace your filter weekly (we do it fortnightly). You’ve also got to keep up your chlorine treatments, to ensure all germs that thrive in warm water are killed. We’d suggest you buy this bulk cleaning package (you’ll save money in the long run).
