#1 Add Seating – Buy Boxes Add Cushions
Cheap and small. Buying a wooden or plastic box will take up little room on your balcony, in which you can then add cushions. This creation allows you to offer additional seating to guests and store items that don’t need to be kept indoors.
#2 Make A Bar Top Table
Making use of the space around you is an impressive skill. And these guys have done an excellent job of that. Instead of having a table that use the space inside of their balcony they’ve built a small table, using space that no one else will miss. By doing this they don’t have to buy awkward tables and reduce the very little space they had at the beginning.
#3 Or A Fold Down Wall Table
Using some clear brain power, these guys have managed to create a table and cupboard combination. When folded away it looks like their cupboard takes up just 2 inches of space form the wall. Making this very easy to move past, and useful for creating a table when needed.

Fancy that? Growing your own food, on a balcony in the city, madness. By using an old pallet you can install shelves, add compost and be on your way to growing your own edible garden, yum!

Decking can turn your ugly balcony into something to be proud of. And it doesn’t have to be hard, in fact Ikea have a great way to make your own decking like a giant jigsaw.

Typically you see cactus’s in hot country’s when holidaying. What better way to help you enjoy a sunny day, than recreating an area similar to your favourite holiday destinations. The best thing is cactus’s need very little upkeep and they sometimes flower, adding unusual colours to your balcony.
#7 Make Use of Your Wall
We’re all about maximising your space and if you can gather the pattern, it always boils down to making the most of your walls. By utilising your walls on you balcony, you could add plants, edible gardens or even baskets to hold your things.

Can’t get a hold of any boxes? Never mind, opt to use colourful mats, cushions and small tables. Bring everyone to the floor and create a closer environment.

Corner tables are also a good idea. They’re easy to set up and don’t require heavy power tools – which is an added bonus. By using a corner table you have somewhere to place your drinks, or even more plants.

Another great use of pallets. Go down to your local DIY shop and see if they will give you a good offer on one (they will probably throw them away anyway). Stack 2 of them on top of each other and add a comfy cushion to sit on, voila.
